Solar Consultation -
We offer complementary consultation to assess your energy use
and help you find ways to improve your electric consumption
through conservation and alternative renewable energy technology.
Solar Design -
We custom design and engineer a solar system that is right for
your needs, selecting the right hardware, matching system layout
to blueprints to ensure optimal system performance.
Solar Installation -
Our licensed general and electrical contractor installation staff
ensures that your system is installed to blueprints.
Solar Optimization -
Our systems are monitored periodically and provide critical data needed
to ensure continuous optimal performance.
Solar Parks -
Development of large utility-scale photovoltaic (PV) installations
bringing together landowners, utilities and corporate resources to build
and operate.
Solar Power Purchase Agreements (SPPA) -
Placing solar systems on large commercial or municipal buildings and
selling the energy output to the owner(s).
Solar Street Lighting Solutions -
Solar powered lighting is an economic, reliable, and environmentally
responsible way to provide lighting on streets and roadways of
universities, local municipalities, military, hotels/hospitals, governments
and outdoor advertisers

First, we meet with you and share an 8 minute DVD and a live demonstration to show you exactly how we are able to lower your energy usage and protect your facility. Your personal renewable energy consultant (REC) from GPL Solar will help you determine whether or not your facility would be a good candidate for an energy conservation system
Next, if your facility qualifies, a survey of your facility is conducted. During the survey, we look for potential equipment problems, weak points in your energy system, and custom design an energy conservation system that would be the most beneficial to your facility. It's an opportunity for you to have a trained renewable energy consultants look at your facility for free.
When we sit down with you to review our findings we will explain your potential energy savings in terms of a lower electric bill, tax advantages, maintenance, and repair savings. We will then provide a definitive solution for you, outline the cost of the system, the total savings, and a timeline for the return on your investment. When you are comfortable we will place an order.
Our general and roof contractor will install your new energy conservation system or automatic power factor correction unit and your renewable energy consultant will be available to ensure you understand the process and facilitate any questions. Once complete, the system will immediately begin assisting you with increased productivity, decreased energy usage, and a lower electric bill.
GPL Solar along with our renewable energy consultants and engineering department will be available to ensure your 100% satisfaction. Our goal is to ensure you are satisfied with all of the benefits of your energy conservation system:
- Reduction of your energy usage
- Lower Electric Bill
- Complete Surge Protection (including all lightning)
- Decreased Downtime
- Increased Productivity
- Protection of Expensive Electrical Equipment
- Green Facility that is Energy Conscious
- Environmentally Responsible Company Image
How does it work?
- Solar Panels are installed on the roof or in the yard. 300 to 1,000 square feet of space is needed.
- Solar panels produce DC power and your home appliances need AC power. An inverter is installed to convert power from DC to AC.
- Your house is still connected to the electric grid. When the solar panels produce more electricity than you consume, your meter spins backwards and the excess electricity is sold back to the utility company.
Will it power my entire house?
- The solar panel size needed depends on how much power your appliances need and how much you use the appliances.
- A 5kW system in Crowley County can produce 7,825 kWh/yr, which is enough to power a typical home.
- The average household energy use in Crowley County is 7,340 kWh/yr. With energy efficiency projects, this usage can be reduced and a smaller solar array can be installed.
- See other side for average appliance power consumption and typical energy efficiency projects
How much will it cost?
-
Grid-tie
$4-7/watt typical installed cost - residential
$4-6/watt typical installed cost - commercial -
Grid-tie with battery backup
$5-9/watt typical installed cost -
Off-grid
$6 -12/watt typical installed cost
How will I pay for it?
- Electrical Utility Incentives & Rebates (between 12 cents and $4.5 per Watt based on property location)
- Federal tax credit (30% of total cost)
- USDA Grants for Rural Renewable Energy Projects
- USDA's Guaranteed Loan Program
Why should I consider solar at this time?
- Great utility rebates are currently offered
- There is a 30% Federal tax incentive currently offered
- It is a long term investment that protects home owner from future utility cost increases
- Grant funding for solar energy is available to rural farmers, ranchers, and small businesses at this time
